Hola familia week 2 down!!  As you all have probably heard I saw Sam this week! On p day after emailed you all I was told that i had a meeting at reception at 1 30 and i thought they were going to tell me that i couldn't go to the temple with Sam! I was so bummed but then they took me in to a room and there was Elder Tams just sitting there! I broke down sobbing but you all know that too because apparently mom posted it on Facebook!! THANKS MOM!!! hahahah I found out about the video from sams old teacher when i met her this week she is super nice. Talking with Sam was amazing he gave me the advice to love your mission everyday and to rely on your Book of Mormon!! He showed me his Book of Mormon and it is so worn from seeking help... He gave me a beautiful Spanish Book of Mormon!!! It was engraved with my name and had a cute picture of us in it with a beautiful note... Sam is so mature and wise!!! *believe it or not* After talking with him I have been so motivated to be the best that I can be! I took his advice this week and read the Book of Mormon as if my life depended on it! I went from 3rd Nephi to the end of Ether! can you believe it!! This week has been so good honestly I know that I am doing everything I can to fulfill the Lords mission for me. I feel God's love everyday! Thursday after talking with Sam me and hermana bryson stayed up all night painting nails and learning vocabulary by making up stupid phrases! *not all night hahaha all night here is like 11* Friday we played Spanish jeopardy in language study. And i may have gotten a little competitive hahah, I had a showdown with everyone and tied for first place, so im pretty much an Olympian.. Saturday we met our two new investigators... there names are Christina and Stephie it is kind of cool to teach investigators and deal with real problems that could happen to us in the field. Then on Sunday get this... I was called to give a talk in sacrament in full Spanish my second week. I was so nervous and it wasn't great but i am just glad that I could give one. I have been so blessed by the lord, THE GIFT OF TONGUES AND THE HOLY GHOST ARE REAL! That night at the devotional they talked about personal prayers and having more faith. I didn't realize how much more faith i could have it is amazing the miracles that can happen on your mission and in your life in general if you just pray about it and believe that the lord can do all things. I KNOW that the lord can do all things.. I know that the lord is never wrong so when i feel the spirit that this is where i am supposed to be and that my mission is going to strengthen others there is no way i can ignore it. That night we watched the video the testaments and it was so good i love the faith that the people in the Americas have about the Savior it is unshakeable... Monday and Tuesday were just learning more Spanish!! I am really starting to see my progress. And then today WE WENT TO THE TEMPLE!! The temple is such a blessing... And guess who got to be there Samuel! I am so thankful for this time i have had to talk with Sam!! We talked more about the mission and took pictures and he told me that apparently we are famous and it was amazing!!! At the end we bought CTR matching rings to remind each other to finish our missions strong... It was so hard saying goodbye to him but i know that i can make you all proud and him proud... He says to say that he loves you and misses you all dearly!!! And i do too.. i pray for you all every night and i hope you know how much i love you and how much the lord loves you!!! STAY STRONG!!!

Week 1 pics

Week 1

Hola mi familia y Mi Amigas! Estoy agradecia por the rain. This week has been absolutely insane... It truly has been the hardest thing i ever loved to do! Emphasis on the hard!!! The first day after i left you guys I got lost on the airport trying to find my flight hahaha! it wouldn't be me if I didn't right? I made it to my flight though and we flew in with like 50 missionaries. Flying was terrifying but i didn't know it would be so amazing to look over Utah at the mountains. <when we got at the MTC they just started throwing books at us hahaha! But everyone here is so nice everywhere you go you hear hola hermana! Then i got to mi casa and met my companions... that's right a trio haHHAH! My first companion is hermana bryson she is a convert for 3 years and has had a really hard life her mom has actually passed away and she has a huge testimony. My second companion is hermana smith she has a beautiful voice and loves Broadway! hermana bryson is from riverside California and hermana smith is from Las Vegas Nevada. And get this we are all going to the same mission!!!! I love them so much already i Know they were meant to be my companions! The next day we woke up and were late to class hahahha! they do not tell you where to go you just find your way and hope for the best! ESTA BIEN!! I met my district there which consists of a bunch of 18 year old goofballs! They remind me so much of SAM from before he left! Speaking of Sam guess who gets to see him next week at !:15 to go to the 2 o clock session at the temple!!! This girl!!!! I then met my maestra hermana valsquez she just got back from her mission 7 months ago and is so spiritual. We then proceeded to learn so much Spanish my brain hurt!! Overall today was good. The next day was so long but good. They teach you a whole months worth of Spanish in a day! And then i taught my first investigator. IN FULL ON SPANISH!!! I could barely ask her how she was. But i know the gift of tongues is real because even though we didn't know what to say she felt the spirit I know heavenly father blesses missionaries. The next day we woke up and Hermana Smith had the stomach flu already! hahahha DON'T EAT THE MEAT IN MEXICO!! it was kind of hard today because we missed a lot of classes so that she could sleep and get better. But that day i learned so much because i studied so hard so i wouldn't be behind! And then that night I got donuts from my mom and that made my day! And then it rained!!! today is why i am so thankful for the rain!! Me and my companions danced all the way home and it made us so happy and forget about the day. Then me and hermana bryson stayed up talking about the gospel and our families! We have a running joke where we say HOLA LE VA!! which means hello it going? hahahah i accidentally said that a few times my first day because i had no idea what i was doing!! hahahhaha On Friday and Saturday is when my Spanish really improved i can now say mi objectivo, my testimony, the baptismal invite, and say a prayer! I say plenty of those for you guys i love you so much! Sunday was amazing!! IT TRULY IS THE BEST DAY!! it was so worth the wait. I prayed that morning to feel the soiritmore because i was stressing too much about the language and about missing you guys!! But then that night at the devotional they showed only a stonecutter! I love that mormon message. it reminds me of my dad and his sacrifice of waking up at 3 am every morning to go to ups so that we can have insurance for molly's heart. I needed to be reminded of why i was here working so hard and i truly got my answer. I know that if i work as hard as I can with all of my heart I can do AMAZING things on my mission. After the devotional we had a testimony meeting and all the 18 year old "MEN" hahahha were crying. That is when our district really came together. Monday we woke up and hermana bryson got a viral infection hahahash we are kind of a dysfunctional family just like at home. But we really dedicated ourselves to the work. We taught our investigator about faith that day and the spirit was so strong i almost cried. Then after she told us that that is exactly what the investigator needed to feel and it made us feel so successful after all of our hard work. That night we were joking around and hermana bryson can do the funniest deep man voice with her sore throat! the next day I got my family's letters and another package. Thank you so much it means more than you know. I bet you guys cant even get out of bed in the morning without me hahahha!(; Overall i just want you guys to know that i have made so many friends and that i have family members here. I AM SAFE MOM! hahah I am so happy i could not be more happy and i am so blessed to be able to make this sacrifice for a short time to repay my savior for the atonement. Yo se que mi salvador amor me. Yo se que el evangelio es verdadero. Yo se que El senor es bendice ustedes. I love you so much!
