Week 11
Hola Yall! I hope you are all having an amazing Halloween! Me and my companion are loving it! We had Cookies and candy for breakfast, and I am dressed up as Sam for Halloween! Hahahahah. This week was amazing, OTRO VEZ! I feel like my mission something that I have struggled with is accepting humbly. I have been trying to just accept the lords timing and his will, which can be hard when you know how great the gospel is and you just want everyone to be baptized hahah! But i know that because I have been trying to just trust in him he gave us a miracle this week. We have this investigator named Lorena who we have been teaching for a long time since I got here. (so not that long) But when we first met her she was going through a lot of trials in her life. She had a car accident and her son is in jail and she was just trying to come closer to god. At first she was so timid and a little unhappy, and it was hard because I just wanted to take all the knowledge of the gospel and the happiness it brings me and make her understand. But slowly as we have been teaching her and I have been trying to work on patience, she has completely changed. I know that the gospel blesses our lives more than we know, and slowly I have seen that change in Lorena! She is so HAPPY now! She tells us all the time that she is so happy because of her prayers and because she feels closer to god. She came to church this week for a tour and while at the tour we showed her the font and the picture of Jesus Christ's baptism, and explained how important it is that we follow his example. Then I did the baptismal invite again because I felt prompted too hahah! I'm not gonna lie I really was so nervous because she was the first person I had asked and she said no.... But this time she was so ready, she accepted a date, and we were saying stuff like we know it is soon but we know you are ready. And she said its not too soon I think I am ready too! I was so overjoyed, All I wanted to do was have a dance party right there! 😂 But that really would have taken away the spirit so i didn't do that. But she honestly is amazing! Please pray for her, she is so excited for this change in her life. And I am so glad that the lord touched her heart when it was his Will and not mine! She is so ready now. This week I have also realized how amazing and spiritual the church and sacrament are. When you have people there that have never been, I just got a whole new perspective. Lorena and Monica both came to church this week and Lorena brought her two adorable grandchildren Heidi and Bella. I was never so happy during Sacrament meeting, it was the primary program which was amazing. And bella went up and just joined them singing even though she didn't know any of the songs. And then I had to translate for Lorena which was scary but she was just so happy to be there and she loved hearing the kids testimonies and seeing her granddaughter sing. And when it was time for the sacrament she told us that she was overcome with the spirit. I am so thankful for this week and for the opportunity to be an instrument in the lords hands. I have felt such joy this week as I have seen my investigators feel the light of Christ and change! I want you guys to all know how amazing a mission is. Especially for my cute little sisters. A mission is the greatest thing you could do and an amazing gift. PLEASE GO!! Everyone that is thinking about it just stop thinking and do it!! Thank you so much for your prayers every day and a big shout out to my family for the Halloween candy!!! I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A SPOOKY DAY!👻💀🎃
