Week 24 pics

Week 24

Hola! This week has been soooo interesting, hahaha! First of all my transfer news is that I am staying in Steamboat Springs and my new companion is Hermana Bryson! My old comp from the CCM! I am super pumped to get to serve with her again, and to be in Steamboat again with these amazing people! Sister Briceno is going to Gunnison (which is even colder than steamboat) and i am sad to see her go but i am excited to hear about all of her success in Gunnison! She is an amazing missionary! This week we also had the Worldwide Missionary Broadcast and it was sooo good to hear from the apostles and to get some advice about the work. They also changed our missionary schedule so that we plan in the morning instead of at night, and so that we have a more flexible schedule for our specific areas! It is really weird and is going to take some getting used too, but it is really good too! We also start our Pday at 8 instead of 10 so we have a longer Pday! So that is the crazy news this week!

This week was very good with some very sad moments! Our investigator Mitzi who is from the Philippines got some sad news this week! Her sister in the Philippines had a stroke and was in a coma and passed away! We had a very good lesson right before about Eternal Families and Mitzi received a blessing! It was very sad to see her going through that, I cant even imagine. But she has so much faith and she relies on the lord. She just kept saying I know it is all for a reason and that the lord needed my sister. The miracle in all of this is that the night before she passed away is when we had our lesson. And we invited her over to a member sister Lockes house, and Sister locke was the exact person that Mitzi needed at this time! Sister Locke has had the experience of losing a child, and her testimony about the plan of salvation was so sweet and sincere! I know that she really helped Mitzi that day! I have never felt my testimony grow so much like it did that night! I know that when you share your testimony it grows! The knowledge of a forever family is something sooo precious to me! I Am so thankful that we have members here to help us and strengthen our investigators! Mitzi sadly had to go back to the Philippines because she wants to be there for her family. She was sad to go and we were sad to see her go, but she said she is going to find the missionaries in the Philippines. Everyone please pray for her and her family!

Sorry yall my message got sent half way through hahahah! Also this week we had our Member missionary work fireside and it went very well! We basically just told them if they invite them to activities and to dinners and our just their friends, we would commit and ask them to take the lessons. That way if they say no its all good because they will think the missionaries are weird and not the members, and It doesn't matter, Because we are getting transferred! hahaha. But the spirit was there, and I know that the members are the true missionaries! I am excited to continue to work with this small amazing ward in Steamboat! The people here are soo amazing! I am thankful for this work and i am thankful for this time I have to grow my testimony and to help other people grow theirs! I am excited to go into this next transfer! I cant believe I am almost to 6 months, it is all flying by! Shoutout to Kadence who is leaving on Wednesday! You are going to be an amazing missionary! LOS QUIERO!

Week 23

This week I have felt absolutely happy from how absolutely exhausted i am! i just read a letter from Sam about working hard and it made me so happy! I actually know what he is talking about now! This week we really pushed hard to find new people to teach! I can honestly say that after hard work and patience comes success and miracles! one of the greatest miracles this week happened on Wednesday. We were on exchanges and i was with my Sister Training Leader Sister herring in Hayden. And we were driving around this trailer park trying to find this old investigator, but the sheet with the information for her only had the trailer park address, and no trailer number. So we were a little bummed and we decided to pray to know what to do! And Sister herring got the answer that we just needed to start at the beginning! So we went up to knock trailer number 1 and this latina lady named margarita answered, and she said that she had just talked with us that morning, and we were confused hahaha! And then she explained that she was in Mcdonalds in Craig and these two Elders from our church came up and wanted to show her a video, but then their video player didn't work. And she told us that her friend told her that " god works in mysterious ways and that he could send them to her later." And then we showed up the same day knocking on her door. We were so happy and we know that is not a coincidence! She is so awesome and so ready, we picked her up as a new investigator and she has so many questions, and a desire to know! I am thankful for the opportunity this week we had to work hard. The Zone meeting really helped us get more excited and more motivated! This week we opened up our mouth at every moment about the restored gospel, and we got new investigators! Things just keep on looking better here in steamboat! some INTERESTING THINGS THAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK are that first i saw my first white picket women's rights protest thing hahah! In town one day we were driving by and there were 1000 people marching with signs, Also I tried goat milk (which i would not recommend), and lastly We saw a dead horse head on the ground outside of someones barn! it scared me sooo bad!!! AND WE SAW A MOOSE In the middle of town! That is about it for this week, we are just super excited about finding new people! I know when we work hard the lord leads us to those whose hearts are ready! i have seen that over and over again in my mission! This next week should be more exciting because we have transfer news and we are doing that fireside with the members i will keep you all updated! I am so thankful for this mission! I know when the going gets tough the tough get going, (just like my dad says!) This area has been amazing and whether I stay or go I am excited to see more miracles in my mission, I have learned so much from this area and Sister Briceno and I hope that I can continue to grow and learn! Los Quiero! Gracias por todo! Tengan una buena semana!❤💚💙💞💜😀
