Week 20

Hey FAMBAM!!! I hope nobody got too crazy on New years!!! Hahahhaha We did here, we have a running joke me and my comp that we are the marijuana missionaries hahaha. We smell so much like marijuana everyday it is hilarious, and then it is so cold here that our breathe makes it look like we are smoking! SUCH DISOBEDIENCE!!! Hahahah From the sound of your emails I think that my new years eating with a member and then getting some second hand marijuana was more crazy than yours!!!! hahahahah.... Anyway, this week was another amazing week like always! I cant complain every week in the mission is an amazing week! When we had our last Zone conference Elder Grow from the 70 came, and talked about goal setting. And how to be an escalator missionary, which means that instead of just using an elevator and finding, teaching, baptizing in steps, you are continually doing all of them at once! We have really been working on always finding while we teach, and teaching while we find! And boy did we see miracles this week!

    I have a sure testimony that the lord directs us to those that need the gospel truly!!! This week we had miracles in finding those that needed Jesus Christ and need a change in their lives. The first person we found is Susan she is soo sweet, and truly just down to earth kind. She is an artist and loves to travel. She said she grew up going to lots of different churches and loves to learn. She said that her life is a little hard right now with her boyfriend, he keeps on stringing her a long and would propose and then brake up and then get back together. But I truly do know that she needed us to come that day! At the end after the prayer she said that she was excited to talk with us more and said she would read the pamphlet! And then we were tracting in Hayden (which is 30 minutes away by Craig but is still our area, our area is huge!!) And we found Shantel. She is amazing right now she is pregnant with conjoined twins, and she is really relying on god. She said she had just recently gone back to church and needs that relationship to have faith that everything will be okay. She is so strong, we taught her a little bit of the plan of salvation and we are seeing her next Thursday so wish us luck! And lastly A former investigator that used to be taught named Faith Day texted us out of the blue. hahaha Her text said "Hey this is Faith and I really want to be a Mormon, I just have a few questions could we meet sometime?" And we were like"No we cant meet we dont like teaching the gospel." hahahhahaa JUST KIDDING!

We were like ummmm... yes any time of any day of any hour hahhah! She is sooo sweet she went to church with her boyfriend and said that she just felt the spirit during the talks. She is reading and her favorite scripture is 1 nephi 3:7!! i am truly getting excited about this area because I can see god working miracles here! I know with all my heart that if we just work as hard as we can he will take care of the rest! So that is my plan hhahah! I truly do feel his love every day in my life and I know that we are being guided in the right direction. A mission is not always easy but man is it worth it. I feel blessed to be able to learn everyday and grow closer to him and his son every day! My new years resolution is to make the savior my best friend. I know that when we have someone as our best friend we spend the most time with them, and their good qualities start to rub off on us! And that is all that I can wish for on my mission. Even if I don't baptize 100 people, or move a mountain, or heal 50 people, I know that if on my mission I change and become more like Jesus Christ it will all have been worth it! i am so blessed to be in this beautiful place with the beautiful opportunity to testify about Jesus Christ! i encourage all of you to make it a new years resolution to in some way become closer to Jesus Christ! He will heal us, he will help us and he will change us! Thank you for all that you do for me I love you guys more than you know!
