Week 19

I hope everyone had the best Christmas ever. I know that I truly did have an amazing Christmas! It was my favorite thing in the world to see my beautiful family, I miss you guys and love you guys, and talking to you truly did confirm my purpose of why I am here! I know that I am on my mission for a reason, that I am in Steamboat for a reason, and that I am with Sister Briceno for a reason! I am thankful for this opportunity to learn more, i truly learn way more on my mission than I teach. I especially want to give thanks to my Savior. I have never felt his love so much in my life. D&C 84:88 "And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."

I know that I have angels sent from my heavenly father to help me on my mission, and I know that I have you guys as my angels too. I am getting excited for this area to try and find those that are ready, and to be obedient and have faith and find the elect. This week was an awesome week her in Steamboat. I learned lots of new things, and I did see miracles like I do every week. This week I met Natassia who is from Jamaica. She is very nice and we taught her the plan of salvation and really talked a lot about Going to church, praying, and reading. We are working with her to go to church right now because she works 2 jobs on Sunday so it is harder to get a day off to go. But something amazing she said is that I know that I have to go. So I have faith that the lord will prepare a way for her to go, because I know that he wants her here. I also told you when we were skyping that I learned that everyone here is addicted to marijuana. I really thought after being in Eagle and no one having that problem, that marijuana in Colorado was a myth. Hahahha but its not, everyone just goes to Steamboat. Something amazing though is that we are teaching this less active Kieth and he said that he wants to get his patriarchal blessing, and that for his new year tradition he is going to stop smoking marijuana. I was amazed I know that the spirit touched his heart, and he knows that marijuana isn't helping him. Another amazing miracle this week, is that we had District meeting on companion unity. It was so great and fun, We did little games as companions, like the funniest one is that we each had to feed our companions cake and the first one to finish wins hahahha. But I know that is what me and Sister Briceno needed was to have fun, because after the bed bugs and being inside for 2 days straight, it was amazing to just have fun!

Some funny things that happened this week is that after we skyped we decided to go caroling hahha. You should have seen the peoples faces when they opened up and we started singing, they were so confused, I don't think they had ever seen carolers in their lives. But it was very fun even though i sound a toad when I sing, and it was actually a good way to share about Jesus Christ. Afterwords we would ask if they wanted to hear a scripture. I love Christmas, especially on a mission. I have never had a more Christ centered Christmas. I want you all to know that if we just rely on Jesus Christ we can see miracles. I am thankful for you all and for your examples to me, you guys are the real missionaries, keep on sharing with your friends!!! Something that Sister Cardosa would always tell me that I absolutely love is that if you testify of Jesus Christ you get an A+ for the day! Have a good rest of your Christmas Break and remember to keep the spirit of Christmas in your heart through out the whole year! Te amo!!!! ðŸŽ…💙💜💚❤💞
